Company History
CEAG AG, in its present form, is a direct descendent of the company Industrieanlagen und Leichtbau GmbH, which was founded in Düren (Germany) in 1967. A change of name and relocation in 1977 resulted in the founding of CEAG Industrieaktien und Anlagen AG, operating from its new base in Frankfurt (Germany). The company name CEAG has its origins in the CEAG Dominit AG that was founded on 27.06.1906 in Dortmund as the Concordia Elektrizitäts Aktiengesellschaft. Intended as a pure financial holding company, CEAG's breakthrough into the business of external power supplies began with the takeover of Friemann & Wolf Duisburg (FRIWO) in 1971. In 1996, the name was changed to FRIWO. CEAG AG as the holding of FRIWO is today a world leader in the manufacture of small power supply units and chargers. |
